On this bank holiday Monday we welcome Lower Breck to The Berry Street Garage Stadium in a Merseyside Derby in the Northern Premier League Division One West.
By Brendan Doyle
Bootle host their third league game at home this season as Alan Morgan and his staff currently attempt to make their home turf a fortress and a difficult place for any opposition side to come and play at. It’s safe to say that last season Bootle lacked a good home record but this will be attempted to be rectified by the gaffer for the current season whilst we are still in the early stages.
New comers to the division Lower Breck finished with an outstanding tally of 106 points in the North West Counties Premier Division in the 2024/25 campaign and missed out on goal difference to champions Bury by just three points , but defeated Padiham 2-0 in the play off final to secure promotion to the Northern Premier League Division One West. Lower Breck will be looking on continuing their great run into the new division but have a challenge on their hands as they are now in a higher division, it will be interesting to see how the Anfield based club get on in the Northern Premier League Division One West.
