After a dominant and assertive start to the game, Bootle took the lead after fourteen minutes of play as Abbi Fowler got on the end of a great ball played to her on the left and her first time strike found the bottom corner with the keeper defeated. Abbi Fowler almost doubled her own goal tally as well as Bootle’s she struck a shot outside the area after gaining an opportunity to do so, but the St Helen’s Rovers keeper made a save to deny a 2-0 lead for Bootle.

Poppie O’Neill and Tayla Castley linked up extremely well to play a ball in to the path of Caitlyn Rogers who got her shot away but once again the St Helen’s Rovers keeper denied Bootle to double their lead. The first half was 1-0 to Bootle in what was an impressive performance from the girls in the opening forty five minutes making themselves organised going forward and also defensively.

Bootle doubled their after just two minutes into the second half as Poppie O’Neill picked out Abbi Fowler via a fantastic long ball into the box which then seen Fowler take a great first touch to allow herself space to shoot and bury her chance to Bootle 2-0 up. As Bootle continued to dominate the game, a great link up between Abbi Fowler and Caitlyn Rogers found Poppie O’Neill at the back post to hit home a calm finish to get a third goal for The Bucks.

As the game was pretty much out of sight in the later stages of the game, Bootle added a fourth goal to their tally as Abbi Fowler found an unmarked Maia Buckle as she scored with a first time touched effort to seal a dominant 4-0 win for Bootle at The Berry Street Garage Stadium.
