Match Preview: Bootle FC vs Stalybridge Celtic

By Brendan Doyle This afternoon The Bucks play a third consecutive home game and welcome Manchester based side Stalybridge Celtic in a contest for three points in the Northern Premier League Division One West.
After advancing to the first round proper of the FA trophy last weekend with a blistering 5-0 home win against Northern Premier League Premier Division side Emley and still remaining high up in our own division, Alan Morgan looks to gain another win in front of the Bootle faithful this season whilst fans have been more than happy with what they have seen so far this season. The gaffer realises how important it is to keep that momentum going in order to push for big things towards the end of the season.
Jon Macken’s side haven’t got off to the start they’d of ideally liked so far this campaign as they have racked up more losses than wins most recently. Despite exiting from both the Emirates FA Cup and more recently the FA Trophy with a 3-1 away defeat to Curzon Ashton, Stalybridge Celtic can solely focus on getting themselves into the play off areas in the division which they can then possibly push towards promotion and enter the Northern Premier League Premier Division after exiting it in 2023.
