The Bucks face Wythenshawe at The Berry Street Garage Stadium in an attempt to claim three points and to potentially climb up the league table.
By Brendan Doyle
Last week away at Congelton Town, Bootle were at the wrong end of a seven goal thriller which provided plenty of entertainment for a neutral perspective but unfortunately ended badly for The Bucks. After being 2-0 down, a brace from Tom Hannigan and a goal of the season candidate strike from Ben Hodkinson put Bootle 3-2 up but unfortunately the hosts fought back and won the game 4-3. The gaffer Mick McGraa will be the eager to keep Bootle’s undefeated streak at home alive with a win today against our visitors from Manchester.
Wythenshawe currently find themselves in the dreaded relegation zone and it’s safe to say they’ve had a tough season in the division since their arrival in August after achieving promotion from the North West Counties Premier Division at the end of the 2023/24 season. Every point is now crucial for The Ammies and a win today could be a huge three points by the end of the season.
