It’s another road trip for Bootle FC Women this Sunday as the Bucks head to Newton-le-Willows to face Vulcan FC UDA Ladies. This will be Bootle’s third consecutive away fixture, and after last weekend’s impressive win at St Helens Rovers, the squad will be looking to make it back-to-back victories on the road.

Bootle go into the game full of confidence following their 4–1 triumph at St Helens. It was the perfect start as Lola Dutton struck just two minutes in with a classy curled finish. St Helens hit back quickly from the penalty spot, but the Bucks didn’t let that setback derail them.

Persistent pressure brought a deserved second goal before half-time, restoring the advantage. In the second half Bootle’s dominance showed, with Katie Mitchell adding a third before Abbi Fowler rounded off the win in stoppage time with a calm finish into an open net.

Vulcan FC UDA Ladies only began their league campaign last Sunday, but they made an instant impact. Playing away at Fleetwood Hesketh Sports Club, Vulcan recorded a commanding 6–0 victory. Goals came from Emma McNamara, Alyssa Shaw, Allison Wilson, and a hat-trick from Mya Brown, setting the tone for a strong start to their season.
