Bucks sign Danny Mitchley

Bootle FC are delighted to announce the signing of Danny Mitchley from City of Liverpool.

Mitchley, an experienced forward, started his career at the youth setups of Skelmersdale United, Oldham Athletic and Wigan Athletic, before joining Blackpool where he would go on to sign his first professional contract in 2008, after scoring 25 goals in 12 matches for Blackpool's youth and reserve teams.

In his 2 years with the First Team at Blackpool, Mitchley made 2 senior appearances, as well as enjoying loans at Southport, Burscough and Wrexham.

A permanent move to Burscough in 2010 where he failed to make more that one appearance meant moves around the EFL and non-league between 2010 and 2015, featuring for 7 clubs in this 5 year period - including Mansfield Town, Nuneaton Town (loan), Altrincham, Marine (loan), Kendal Town (loan), Kendal Town (permanent) and Skelmersdale United.

In 2015, Mitchley signed for Marine where he would spend 4 years, making 178 appearances for the club, scoring 81 goals.

After trying his luck at Radcliffe and Witton Albion, Mitchley signed for Skelmersdale United as they looked for promotion into the Northern Premier League, enjoying a cup run along the way in the Emirates FA Cup.

Skem Manager, Paul McNally, departed in favour of City of Liverpool, where Mitchley followed last year. Mitchley signs for Bootle after being a key transfer target for Mick McGraa and his staff.

Mitchley is available for selection in tomorrow's game against City of Liverpool at the DCBL Stadium, 3pm kick off in Widnes.

Welcome to the Berry Street Garage Stadium, Danny!
