Bootle win 7-1 at Jeffrey Humble against Litherland Remyca with the help of a Darcie Taylor hat trick, an Alice Gannon brace and a goal each from Poppie O’Neill and Trialist A.

Very early in the game as early as nine minutes, Alice Gannon was found in space in the area and wasted no time in putting Bootle 1-0 ahead with a great finish. Shortly afterwards, Darcie Taylor capitalised on an error from the Litherland Remyca defence and was through on goal one on one and slotted her effort into the bottom near corner to double the scoreline for Bootle.

After making a good impression throughout the first half at centre back including clearing a rolling ball off the line, Trialist A scored Bootle’s third goal by way of a bullet header from a corner which most keepers would’ve had trouble stopping, an emphatic header with plenty of power behind it. In the closing minutes of the first half, Darcie Taylor made a fantastic run into the box with the ball at her feet beating three players and eventually put the ball in the back of the net to give Bootle a 4-0 lead at half time, a great first half performance from the girls.

In the early stages of the second half, Bootle already asserted their dominance similar to what they did in the first half as a brilliant ball was whipped round to the back post which Alice Gannon met with a first time effort and made it 5-0 to Bootle, a tremendous bit of play. After an attempt outside the box which dipped over the crossbar, Litherland Remyca did pull one back after a good passage of play and a decent finish which gave them a somewhat glimmer of hope.

Bootle did respond well to conceding however as Darcie Taylor was brought down In the Litherland Remyca area by the keeper and a penalty was awarded, Taylor then stepped up to take the penalty and converted it down the middle to claim her hat trick and Bootle’s sixth goal of the game, a very clinical and outstanding performance from Darcie Taylor to say the least. In the closing minutes of the game, Poppie O’Neill made it 7-1 to Bootle with a great finish in the Litherland Remyca area, the game finished 7-1 in what was an outstanding performance by every individual in their last pre season outing.
