The first major chance of the game by way of a one on one Joe Woolley chance which was fired straight at R’avan Constanble, a chance which should’ve put Bootle ahead. Sporting Khalsa’s Chay Tilt took a shot on goal but Tony Thompson caught it safely.

A ball in from out wide fell to Bootle’s new signing Will Russ who took a headed attempt on goal but the fall fell just a couple of yards over the bar. Just minutes after that Bootle chance, Sporting Khalsa took the lead with a Chay Tilt strike just outside the area.

Andre Landell looked to double Sporting Khalsa’s lead after a good turn from his back to goal but his shot only fell into the hands of Tony Thompson. Thompson however, was forced to make a fantastic save to deny a second Sporting Khalsa goal after Bradley Burgess struck an effort outside the box.

The scoreline of the first half would finish 1-0 to the visiting Sporting Khalsa. A link up between Andre Landell and Kieron Whittaker caused plenty of headaches for Bootle in the opening fourth five minutes.

Ten minutes into the second half, Jack Lenehan tried his luck to curl into the far corner but the shot only flew wide of the goal. Ethan Gouldbourne managed to cut into the Sporting Khalsa area to get a shot off but it fell just wide of the post.

After bringing down a longe range pass, Sporting Khalsa skipper Kristian Green crossed in a fantastic ball to Andre Landell who met the ball with a half volley from six yards out but the effort dipped over, a huge chance for the visitors to double their lead.

In the very late stages of the game, Joe Woolley attempted to put a low cross into the area to find a Bootle touch on the ball but a touch off Zak Kourouiyanni almost put it into his own net but luckily for Sporting Khalsa, R’avan Constable managed to reposition his whole body and scoop up the ball from danger.

In the last couple of minutes of the game, Ethan Gouldbourne was tugged and clipped from behind in the area, an absolute stonewall penalty but referee Joe Morrell just shrugs his shoulders, no penalty given, absolutely outrageous! The score finished 1-0 to Sporting Khalsa.
