Bootle FC Women returned from St Helens with all three points after a convincing 4–1 victory on the road.

The Bucks got off to a flying start, taking the lead in the 2nd minute after a composed curled finish into the bottom corner. However, the hosts struck back from the penalty spot in the 12th minute to level the score at 1–1.

Bootle continued to create chances, with Dutton going close again and Abbi Fowler forcing the St Helens goalkeeper into action. Their persistence paid off in the 37th minute when the Bucks’ advantage was restored, ensuring they went into the break ahead.

The second half began with St Helens testing Izzy Cartwright, who pulled off a fine save to keep Bootle in front. The Bucks then took control of the game in the 59th minute, as Katie Mitchell extended the lead to 3–1.

Cartwright remained alert to deny the hosts on several occasions, while Dutton and Fowler continued to threaten at the other end. In the closing stages, Fowler capped off the performance with a late strike, rounding the goalkeeper in the 89th minute to make it 4–1.
