Volunteers are the lifeblood of non-league clubs like ourselves. We also hope that volunteering provides a great experience for those involved given they are such a crucial part of operating the club.

We have a number of areas over the coming season where we believe there is capacity to really bolster our ranks.

Matchday Secretary
Work closely with our club secretary to ensure all matchday administration is completed.

The individual(s) primarily needs to be available on matchdays. They will liase with the first team manager, other club officials and match officials in completing mandatory matchday tasks such as teamsheet exchanges, production of league teamsheets, league match updates and results submission.

There is no specific experience required, but could be of interest to someone who wants to learn more about club administration. Travel to away games will be provided, and will also be a matchday guest of the club for away fixtures.

Kitperson
Work with the club secretary, and club general manager to co-ordinate the ordering and availability of first team kit on matchdays ,and to work with the first team management to ensure the distribution and collect of kit as necessary.

The role holder will need to be available on matchdays in order to pack and transport the kit to and from games, and ensure that it is laid out for players prior to their arrival and collected in post match. The role holder will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of the kit

There is no specific experience required, though the role holder will need to drive and have access to a van (or similar capacity to transport all gear). This role will be eligible for expenses given the extended time commitments in advance of, and around matchdays.

Matchday Operations
We are looking for volunteers to support our matchday operations, and to become members of our committee who are responsible for ensuring that matchday operations run smoothly.

We have a number of areas where we want to improve the fan experience at Bootle, and also to enhance what we already have. From fans arrival in the car park, managing entrance and exit from the ground, operating an onsite club shop to having adequate stewards to support spectators in the ground.

There is no specific experience required, though as the name suggests availability on matchdays is necessary. Advanced and predictable availability, to support planning, is more critical than availability at every single match. Ideally people will also be available to meet on a monthly basis to meet and make decisions on ways to enhance matchday operations.
