Brilliant Bootle win at Marine
Bootle beat local rivals Marine in a brilliant away win for the Bucks at Rossett Park, with goals from Ben Hodkinson, Matty McDonald and Tom Peterson sealing the win for the away side.
The first chance fell to the away side. A strong header by Jay McCarten was just headed over the bar.
Bootle seemed to have the ascendancy the first 10 minutes, a couple of half chances not converted.
Another great chance for the Bucks, a deflected shot by Declan McLoughlin was saved by Bayleigh Passant.
Bootle came so close to taking the lead. A great corner was pounced on by Will Bell, who hit the post and then agonisingly blazed over the bar.

Bootle raced into a 3-0 lead. A scuffed pass by Passant fell to Tom Peterson, who put into an empty net.
Bootle thought they had scored a fourth through a fine header by substitute Jack McGowan, but the referee judged the ball not to have crossed the line and play continued.
