@Bootle_FC began their campaign with a 1-1 draw at home against Hanley Town at the Berry Street Garage stadium.

Joe Doran’s side looked lively in the early stages and where rewarded for their efforts in the 17th minute with goal from Carl Peers. Peers fired into the top corner of the Hanley net from the edge box to make it 1-0.
Liam Loughlin almost made it 2-0 as he hit a shot from way out rattling the crossbar. The ball bounced down onto the line, the referee said no goal despite celebrations from the Bucks fans.
Bootle pressed for a second consistently firing shots on the Hanley goal but failed to make the most of their chances.
The home side where made to pay for not finishing the game as Hanley grabbed a 92nd minute leveller courtesy of substitute Jake Alcock.
A last gasp equaliser means two points dropped for Bootle who'll need to recover quickly from this disappointment with another game just around the corner. The Bucks host Skelmersdale United on Tuesday evening as they look to secure their first win of the season.
