Bootle FC were unlucky to come away from their game at Prescot cables without a win.
The Bucks were held to a second draw during pre-season despite an excellent second half performance at a rainy Volair Stadium.
A tight first half looked to be headed for the interval at 0-0. That was until Cables snatched the lead just before the referee blew for half time.
The rejuvenated Bucks emerged after the break to put in a dominant 45 minutes of Football which was rewarded mid way through the 2nd half with an equaliser from Cam Grant who pounced on a parried shot to tap in the leveler.
With just seconds remaining a deserved win appeared to have been clinched with the ball in the back of the Cables net, only for the referee to disallow the goal and call time on proceedings at the Volair Stadium.
