The starting line - up remained the same after Wednesday night’s brilliant team performance and with the team now on an unbeaten run confidence was high.
Bootle took the game to the opposition from the start with the midfield out playing their counterparts to set up a few early chances. Warbreck got themselves more into the game and had a couple of counter attacking breaks which the defence and keeper dealt with superbly.
Bootle took a deserved lead when Nathan fired in his first of the game. We didn’t have to wait long for a 2nd goal and neither did Nathan who fired Bootle into a 2-0 lead.

The remainder of the 1st half didn’t see too many more opportunities. Warbreck putting one over the bar and Ethan pulling off a fine save (watch out Harry J). James helped create forward offenses from Bootle and snuffed out any further raids from the opposition.

The 2nd half started off fairly even with Cody mopping up any chances Warbreck had. A nice bit of one touch passing between Chloe and Jack led to Nathan having the opportunity for his hat trick only to be foiled by a really good save. Lucas then slid the ball down the left for Nathan to cross into the box that was cleared.
Warbreck got themselves back into the game with 10 minutes to go by taking a chance to score making it 2-1. Warbreck pressurised Bootle from that point and went close to grabbing an equaliser on a couple of occasions. The team stood firm as a unit with James putting in a well deserved Man of the Match performance for Our 3rd win in 8 days. Matty has now got his team competitive and confident with all his hard work.
