While the 1-1 draw at full-time felt like a missed opportunity given the Bucks' early dominance, the squad showed immense character to hold their nerve.

Caitlyn Rogers continued her fine form on Sunday, finding the net 20 minutes in after a period of intense pressure. Despite a lengthy second-half delay due to an injury and a late Hesketh equalizer, Bootle’s clinical 5-3 victory in the shootout secured a vital extra point and kept the momentum swinging in the right direction.

Wednesday’s visitors arrive at Vesty Road buoyed by a massive upset. Last weekend, Sefton Park Rangers stunned fourth-placed MSB Woolton Reserves, the side that recently defeated Bootle with a 3-2 victory.
