A late equaliser from Abbie Fowler sees Bootle remain unbeaten in their last four outings and unbeaten at home this season

A fast start for Bootle seen them take five corners within the space of a few minutes but none of them resulted to much. With the first major chance of the game, Clay Brow made a counter attack which seen Izzy Cartwright make a fantastic double save to keep Bootle level.

Just after the half an hour mark, Izzy Cartwright made another save to keep the game at 0-0 with a tremendous stop at the near post after a very threatening attack from Clay Brow. Bootle almost got themselves in front shortly before the half time whistle as Poppie O’Neil played Caitlyn Rogers through on goal but her effort from just inside the box was skied over for a goal kick.

Just two minutes into the second half, Amber Boussemart hit a ball in from the right hand side and managed to find its way into the Clay Brow net. However, within just two minutes, Bootle miraculously found themselves 2-1 down after Clay Brow instantly woke up after conceding.

Bootle almost got themselves level in the later stages of the game as Poppie O’Neil was fed through goal and had her shot magnificently saved but managed to get onto a rebound which unfortunately was hit over the bar. After keeping the pressure on Clay Brow, Bootle finally went level as impact sub Abbi Fowler managed to score a rebounded shot and make the game 2-2.

The result ended 2-2 which seen the girls carry on their undefeated run.
