Carl Peers was the big winner at Bootle's end of season presentation.

The Bucks midfielder claimed both the Players Player of the Season trophy and the Golden Boot at the club's end of season prize giving on Friday night.

The evening kicked off with the club's title-winning Under-18 side handing out their awards for the season.

Jack Hughes was named Parents Player of the Season, Liam Keenan was then named Managers Player of the season, Cameron Grant was his side's top goalscorer, and Lewis Gell took home the Players Player of the Season trophy.

Before the Bucks' Under-21 side, who will be disbanding as a result of their manager, Chris Jones, being named Knowsley South's new first-team manager, handed out their prizes for the season.

Jack Goodwin was named Managers and Players Player of the Season, while Peter Silcock collected his side's Golden Boot for the year.

Following a short break, the night got back underway with first-team manager Joe Doran addressing those in the in attendance about his side's season.

Joe Scattergood and Keith Woodhouse then presented the Bootle Bucks Supporters awards.

First up was Kieran Halligan who was named Player of the Month for April - before Connor Millington was named the Supports Player of the Season.

Club captain Liam Loughlin then received a special memento from the Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC for running the Barcelona marathon to raise money for the club.

Before Peers collected his first of the night after being named his side's top goalscorer.

Ben Cartwright was then named the club's Committee Player of the Season before Jack McGovern was awarded the Frank Doran Jnr trophy for his contribution to the club both on and off the pitch.

Ste Jones was then named Managers Player of the Season before Peers edged out team-mate Millington to collect the Players Player of the Season award.

The night then concluded with Sam Tandy, Dominic Alden and Alfie Butler receiving a special award each, for their roles as the team's mascots throughout the season.
