Points Deduction

The Northern Premier League have today confirmed that the club will be deducted 1 point and fined £100 after fielding an ineligible player.

We expect that the league table will be adjusted shortly to reflect this outcome.

Many will be aware, during our draw with Trafford we fielded four substitutes. We were 1-0 up in the game when a fourth substitution was made during injury time.

The outcome is in line with competition rules which state we would lose the points gained from the fixture and receive a fine.

Regardless of the reasons for the error, the club are ultimately responsible and acknowledged the breach of the league rules.

The club made its own report to the league following the conclusion of the game and have accepted the charge accordingly.

We apologise to all connected with the club, but focus shifts quickly to the final 3 games of the season.
