Updates to Mick McGraa's backroom team

Mick McGraa has named some backroom staff changes following the end of the 2024/25 Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One West season.

Mick and his staff achieved a play-off place last campaign, and look to better that this season at the Berry Street Garage Stadium.

The backroom staff which included Mick McGraa (Manager), Alan Morgan (Assistant Manager), Steve Aspinall (Coach), Kyle Scarisbrick (Coach), Neil Mathieson (Goalkeeper Coach) and Caz Green (Physio) will see the departure of Alan Morgan as he moves onto pastures new as First Team Coach at Southport. We would like to put on record our thanks to Alan and we wish him all the best for the future.

Kyle Scarisbrick will take the vacant position as Assistant Manager at the football club. Kyle was part of the backroom staff at Vauxhall Motors, after being there as a player. The former Everton and Sheffield United Academy player is delighted to make the step up into a more senior role and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Jack Hook will re-join the club as First Team Coach. Hook was part of the Bootle FC Coaching Team under Dave McNabb, following McNabb from Warrington Rylands to Macclesfield and then to Bootle. In October, Hook swapped the Berry Street Garage Stadium for Gigg Lane, taking up the role as coach at Bury FC in the North West Counties Premier Division. In the 2023/24 season, Hook’s side narrowly missed out on promotion, falling short to Wythenshawe Town in the play-off final.

Hook mentioned, in an exclusive interview with Bucks TV, how ready he is to be part of the challenge and to be back at Vesty Road, and how excited he is to link up with Mick McGraa and the Bootle FC Playing Staff and Management Team.

Welcome, Jack, and congratulations on your new role, Kyle!
