The first twenty five minutes was a scrappy encounter with not much football being played on a very hilly and difficult service, but Bootle were the side threatening most.
It seemed like if was only going to be a matter of time before the first goal went the visitors way, who become accustomed to the tough conditions and began to play through the hosts, and eventually the momentum swinger arrived just before the break.
Tom Peterson raced onto a precise through-ball to be one-on-one with Ellis Allen in the 1874 net, and the Bucks striker slotted home to put the visitors into a deserved lead.
One became two soon enough as Peterson was stopped in his tracks on his way to goal until Ben Hodkinson picked up the pieces, his tricky footwork took two men out the game before he smashed home a second.

It became a game that yet again seemed to be emphatically slipping away from the hosts as the clinical Bucks added a further two to their already comfortable account.
Ben Hodkinson precisely opened up the hosts’ defence before an intricate finish left Allen red faced.
Peterson rounded off the scoring a minute after the third, being slipped through before slotting home.
